Provide a single unified voice for all organisations which have a contracting
relationship with
Child Youth and Family, and Family and
Community Services (MSD).

Identify issues that challenge good practice and seek solutions whenever
possible

Purpose |
Social Service Providers Aotearoa Inc. exists to:

Provide an effective voice for
member organisations

Ensure effective communication
and knowledge sharing between member organisations, the Executive Committee,
Child Youth and Family and Family and Community Services (MSD)

Promote assistance to children,
young people and their families through encouraging and promoting co-operation
between member organisations, Child Youth and Family, Family and Community
Services (MSD) and other government departments
-
Foster and promote Regional
Meetings
-
Provide information, resource
material and Best Practice training opportunities for members
-
Co-ordinate an annual National
Conference

Formation of Social Service Providers
Aotearoa Inc and its Membership |
An association of
Social Service Providers was
first
mooted in 1996 and because of unforeseen delays finally became established in
2000. .

|

Social Service Providers Aotearoa is open to all Section 396 Child & Family
Support Services (those Agencies providing Foster Care and residential services)
and Section 403 (those Agencies providing Community Services) within New
Zealand, approved under the Children Young Persons and their Families Act, 1989
as well as those Agencies who hold a contract with Family and Community Services
(MSD).
Currently membership stands at 260 and growing.
The annual membership fee is
$50 (GST inclusive). Associate Membership is $40 (GST inclusive)
