Swine Flu Pandemic and the 2009 SSPA Conference

The following information is provided to delegates who will be attending this year’s annual conference and are concerned about possible risks associated with the current swine fu pandemic

• There are no plans to cancel this year’s conference
• However it is important to recognise that if people have flu’ like symptoms they should not attend the conference this year
• As a precautionary measure delegates are encouraged to take out travel insurance
• The Conference Committee will ensure hand sanitation is available for delegates
• The Conference Committee will  also post notices in a prominent place highlighting coughing and sneezing hygiene
